The Practice Of Preparation A Recipe Series
Great coffee connects people to place, to craft, and to time itself.
May these recipes encourage you to slow down, experiment thoughtfully, and discover the remarkable range contained within a single origin. Each cup is an opportunity to engage with something larger — agriculture, culture, and human ingenuity expressed through flavor.
Golden Date & Honey Iced Latte
Whenever possible, sweetness should complement coffee’s natural profile rather than overpower it.
Preferred sweeteners in this recipe:
• African honey
• Date syrup or paste
• Raw sugar in moderation
• Spices for perceived sweetness
Cardamom Lattee
Brew 6 ounces strong coffee using an Ethiopian-origin bean. While hot, stir in a small pinch of ground cardamom and sugar to taste. Allow the spices to bloom for several seconds before serving. For a softer profile, add a small splash of warm milk, though traditionally it is enjoyed black.
